Bobby" Cooley, 77, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, March 25, 2019, in a local hospital."Bobby" was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers: Leonard, Quenton, Clarence and Thomas Bowman. He loved to work and he worked all of his life. He retired from Mueller Corporation after 30 years of service. He loved the outdoors including fishing, gardening and working in his yard. Most of all, he enjoyed helping people. He was a loving husband to his wife, Fay, and he attended the Baptist Church.Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Fay Glover Cooley of Cleveland; his sisters: Olena Shoulders of Rossville, Ga., and Sarah Ann Childress of Sparta; his brother, Sam Kelly Bowman of Pikeville; his dogs: "Patch" and "Belle"; his cats: "Kit Kat" and "Mr. Kitty"; neighbors and friends, and several nieces and nephews.The Remembrance of Life service will be conducted Friday, March 29, 2019, at 2 p.m. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services, North Ocoee Chapel, with Rev. Lake Walker officiating.Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens, with family and friends serving as casket bearers. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Destiny Faith Flores. He was born in Texas and he was a high school graduate. He worked for Volkswagen for a few years. He loved the outdoors, including camping, boating, fishing, hiking and four-wheeling. He also loved to play board games with his family and friends. He had a heart for animals and children. He was known for his sense of humor and loved to make his family and friends laugh. He enjoyed spending time with his friends, but he was a family man and cherished spending time with his family. He was a member of the Lighthouse Church International in Charleston.Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Elizabeth Jane Flores of Cleveland; his daughters: Nicole Elizabeth Flores and Ariel Gabrielle Flores, both of Cleveland; his sons: Jonathan Adam Flores Jr. of Chattanooga, and Joseph Nathaniel Flores, Jacob Dillon Flores, Elisha Gabriel Flores and William, James "Will" Flores, all of Cleveland: his mother, Virginia Ann Benedetto and her husband, Allen, of Tyler, Texas; his father, John Guerrero Flores of Texas; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted today, March 31, 2019, at 3 p.m. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services, North Ocoee Chapel, with Pastors Mitchell and Janella Wright officiating. Interment will follow in the Fort Hill Cemetery with Chris Fowler, Alexander Rayner, James Palmer, Lester Sherrill, Christian Hill and Caesar Thomas serving as casket bearers.
